Coastal Union (Wagosi wa Kaya) collected all three points after defeating KMC FC 3-1 in a Tanzania Mainland Premier League match played at KMC Complex Stadium.
The match, which KMC were playing to fulfill the fixture list after being confirmed relegated, was largely dominated by Coastal Union, who showed urgency and determination in their fight to avoid relegation pressure.
Coastal Union started strongly, taking an early lead in the 3rd minute through Robert Pius, before doubling their advantage in the 7th minute via Greyson Gwalala, putting KMC under immediate pressure.
KMC responded in the 30th minute through Mudathir Nassor, who converted a penalty to give his side a consolation goal after showing signs of fighting back.
However, Coastal Union maintained control of the match with disciplined play throughout the second half, while KMC failed to capitalize on their chances to equalize.
The visitors sealed the victory in the 88th minute when Thomas Ulimwengu scored the third goal, completing a convincing away win.
The result takes Coastal Union to 32 points, strengthening their position in the league standings, while KMC remain at the bottom following their confirmed relegation.
