Yanga SC Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has officially confirmed that the NBC Premier League match between Yanga and Azam FC, originally scheduled for June 24, will now be played at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
Yanga SC will be the home team for this important fixture, which carries significant weight in their bid to defend the league title this season.
Kamwe stated that Yanga have already formally informed the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) of their decision to change the venue and host the match in Zanzibar. The decision is seen as part of the club’s technical planning aimed at maximizing their chances of victory.
He further explained that after the CRDB Bank Cup semi-final against Azam FC on June 21 at CCM Kirumba Stadium, the squad will travel directly to Zanzibar to prepare for the league encounter.
The league match between Yanga and Azam FC is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 PM local time and is expected to be one of the most competitive fixtures of the season.
