Simba Eye Zimbabwean Goalkeeper Nelson Chadya Ahead of New Season

Simba SC have begun efforts to strengthen their squad for next season by expressing interest in signing Zimbabwean goalkeeper Nelson Chadya, who currently plays for Scottland FC.

Sources within the club indicate that major changes are expected in the goalkeeping department, with the futures of the current goalkeepers still uncertain. Djibril Kassaly, Moussa Camara, and Hussein Abel are all approaching the end of their contracts, prompting the club to begin searching for replacements early.

Reports suggest that Simba could sign two goalkeepers during the upcoming transfer window—one foreign and one local—as part of a broader plan to increase competition and depth within the squad.

Chadya has been one of the standout performers in the Zimbabwean Premier League this season. In 20 appearances for Scottland FC, he has kept 14 clean sheets, a record that has helped his club remain among the league’s leading teams.

A source close to the club stated that the search for a new goalkeeper is ongoing and that no agreement has yet been reached with any player.

“We are continuing the process of looking for another goalkeeper. After careful consideration, we believe there is a need to add another keeper to the squad. Discussions are still ongoing, and no player has been signed so far,” the source said.

With several goalkeepers potentially leaving at the end of the season, Simba appear determined to reinforce a key position as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming campaign.
