Brazil Defeat Egypt 2-1 in Final World Cup Warm-Up Match

Brazil continued their strong preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 2-1 victory over Egypt in an international friendly played in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, on Saturday night.

The five-time world champions started brightly and took an early lead through midfielder Bruno Guimarães, who capitalized on a chance inside the penalty area to put Brazil ahead. Egypt responded well, leveling the score through striker Zico, while captain Mohamed Salah impressed with an energetic performance during the first half.

Brazil's winning goal came in the second half when highly-rated youngster Endrick finished calmly after receiving a precise pass from Raphinha. The goal secured an important victory for Brazil in their final preparation match before the World Cup begins next week.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti used the occasion to rotate his squad and give several players valuable minutes ahead of the tournament. The result allows Brazil to enter the competition with confidence after a successful run of warm-up matches.

However, there was some concern for the Brazilian camp after right-back Wesley was forced off with a muscle injury. The extent of the problem remains unclear and could become a significant setback if he is unavailable for the World Cup.

Despite the defeat, Egypt delivered a competitive performance against one of football's most successful nations. The African side will look to build on the experience as they prepare for their 2026 World Cup campaign, which begins against Belgium in Group G.

Brazil, chasing a record-extending sixth World Cup title, will open their tournament against Morocco, with supporters eager to see stars such as Vinícius Júnior, Endrick, and Raphinha lead the team's quest for global glory.
